Stanley Black & Decker
250,000 sq ft Warehouse with new LED Lighting and Daylight harvesting controls.
We had the pleasure of working with the household name Stanley Black and Decker to refresh the lighting in their Northampton distribution center. Their main goals were to improve light levels, reduce maintenance, and lower energy bills.
The 250,000ft2 warehouse is in constant use, resulting in high energy consumption and frequent maintenance. After an in-depth survey and discussion with the team, we proposed a new lighting solution that would optimize their current system.
We replaced around 500 outdated T5 high bays with the efficient and durable Risolutio LED racking luminaries. These robust fixtures transition seamlessly between open areas and wide aisles while maintaining consistent light levels throughout the site. They also reduce light and energy wastage, ultimately saving the client money.
To further enhance energy efficiency, we integrated a daylight harvesting system. By using dimmable drivers and passive infrared sensors, we maximized the use of natural daylight and made significant savings. Our lighting design and control units now provide ideal light levels for close inspection work and ensure good uniformity throughout the dynamic workspace.
We are thrilled with the results and the client couldn’t be happier!
